Hi

While customizing status of incomplete sales documents, I assigned status group 03 which has cross marks for sales & billing.

what does system do?

If for the status group 03 it has been checked for sales order and billing then if you try to save the sales order without fulfilling the data , then at the time of saving sales order system will show incompletion log . But still if you proceed further by saving , you can do delivery and PGI but system wont allow you to do billing as there is incompletion log at sales order level.

When you define the status groups, you decide which steps should be prevented if data is missing.

status group 03 has billing checked. so it is Incomplete for billing. No billing is possible if the fields defined in incomplete procedure for billing documents are incomplete.
