Hi Experts,
The location /sapmnt/<sid> is filled up by 97% in our production server and I want to do some cleaning up there. The background job logs are stored in the location: /sapmnt/BPS/global and as per my understanding deletion of files from the os level will create inconsistancy in the system. So, what are the possible ways I can do for this clean up?
In tcode sp12 (temse: data consistance check) when i do a consistancy check, A list is showing up with comments in Red colour. Can I delete the entries?
And what about report RSBTCDEL??
Kindly suggest.
Amit Jana.
thanks

Hi Anit,
You can use RSPO1041 for delete old spool requests and RSBTCDEL for delete old background jobs that will clean some from the global directory, in both cases change the variant or/and job parameters to clean more recent logs and spools.
Also you can check note 16513 that talks more in detail about this.
Let me know if you need anything else,
Zareh

I suggest you use the "housekeeping" jobs that come by default:
- SM36
- Default Jobs
