SMD agent installation

Is there needed to install SMD agent for monitoring Java-instanse/solman proper or for only around systems?

Hi,

By Around systems i hope you mean satellite systems.

SMD Agent on SOLMAN is not compulsary, but you could use one for the performance of system.

on satellite systems it is useful on duel stack or stand alone java stack systems. but you can also monitor ABAP stack to some extent.

Just I want training to install SMD-agent anywhere before satellite-system agents install - in test SolMan/SMD-owner for example - like self-mon-perfomances& It will be work? not contra-indication?
