Hello SAPians,
Please explain me the difference between TCodes - MB1C & MB31.
Please explain with example.

In MB31, you can post the stock only with reference to any document like sale order etc., and the movement is restricted to 101, 102, 122 & 123 whereas, via MB1C, you have to option to choose different movement types and also can assign a special stock with reason for movement.

Hello,
MB31 is goods receipt for production order. The movement type used is 101.
MB1C- Other goods receipt.
This can be used to recieve the goods generally.
Example:
501 - W/o PO into warehouse
521 - W/o Pr Order into unrestricted
...etc

mb1c is for material receipt without work order.
MB31 is for material receipt with work order...

MB1C is used to take direct receipt w/o any reference.
MB31 is to take receipt agaisnt Process order.
