NWDI install on a Java stack install 7.0 SP15

Hi all,

I have installed an E-Commerce system that runs on a Java stack. I am now realising that to enhance our E-Commerce application I need to have a running NWDI. Since I didn't have the choice to install before I wonder how I get it up and running on the server. Can I deploy everything I need using SDM? What do I need? Can I use the Netweaver sapinst to add the DI package without having to created a new SAP JAVA instance? A lot of questions there but to make it into one. How do I get the NWDI running on a SAP Java stack server. I am already using SLD on the server.

Regards,

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

You can add New Usage type using JSPM.

Navigate to /usr/sap/<SID>/JCxx/j2ee/JSPM-go.bat or ./go(if its linux)

Take the SCA's

DIDTR.SCA , DICMS.SCA and DICBS.SCA from Service market place.

copy them to /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in

Then Trigger JSPM,

Select Option "New Software components" and deploy these components.

This adds on the New DI Usage type to the existing instance.

Please see SAP Note 883948 - NW 7.0(2004s): Inst.Add.Java Usage Types/Software Units.
