Mobile 7.1 architecture

Former Member

Hi,

we are in the process of evaluating a SAP mobile 7.1.

Can anyone explain how the technical infrastructure has to look like.

I understood so far:

- WEB AS ABAP usage type mobile

- Webdynpro Java Client

Am I missing something?

What do I need for the development of SAP mobile apps?

- NWDS

- WEB AS Java?

I am looking for the minimal configuration necessary to get things go.

Thanks

Matthias

Hi,

You did not mention what kinda SAP mobile application you want to develop.

If you want to develop Online or connected mobile application, you should use SAP WenDynpro for JAVA framework.

Lots of helpful tutorials are available on SDN for developing mobile application using WDF(SAP Web dynpro for JAVA framework)

Simple one

https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/60e96a26-cc15-2a10-119b-d5ac646d...

For this you'll need:

NWDS

SAP J2EE Engine

And if you want to develop an offline or disconnected application, you have to use SAP MI.

For this you'll need:

NWDS

SAP MI client and server

For SAP MI please visit these links for more and more information
