Date Format ?

Hi Experts,

I have a problem with date field. I hope some of you face the same problem.

Now currently the date fields has the format like 07-05-2008(DD-MM-YYYY). But my customer want to display the date as 07-May-2008(DD-MMM-YYYY).

Is this possible to do that? Any suggestion or solutions?

sure it's possible, but you will have to use another format (type c). For retrieving the months (names) there are FM to do so. Don't know the name of this FM, but you can find these on SDN without a doubt.

We need the Data picker also for this field. I think if you change to Char field then we won't get the Calender help(Date Picker). Is this possible to get Date picker also with the inpur field.

Yes, it is possible. you can use function module for changing date format.
