what is diffrence between consignement returns and returns?

Dear Sanda Sreenu,

Both consignment returns and normal returns are same, here the difference is that in consignment return you will use sales document type KR instead of RE used for normal sales return.

Consignment return is taken against the consignment issue

in consignment there four process

consignment fillup

consignment issue

consignment return

consignment pickup

consignment pickup is done against consignment fillup

and consignment return is done against consignment issue..

please reward acordingly

Hi,

Consignment returns: Goods are returned from Customer site to Consignment site. You can view this return stock by using the T-code MB58.

Returns:

Goods are returned from Customer and are added to stock quantity of warehouse. you can vew this return stock by using the T-code MMBE.

Movements types involved for these returns are as under:-

Consignment returns :- 633

Normal Returns is :-601.

Hi Sreenu,

As per logical terms,

Consignment returns: Goods are returned from Customer site to Consignment site. Here still...the goods are not picked up and are not added to warehouse stock. When Consignment Pickup document is created, goods are added to warehouse stock.

Returns:

Goods are returned from Customer and are added to stock quantity of warehouse. Here stock are moved directly from customer to Warehouse stock.

Incase of Consigment returns, goods reaches to consigmnet and then trasfered to Warehouse stock.

Technicallly:

Every goods movement is associated with Movement Type.

Movemnet type for Consignment returns is 633

Movement type for Returns is 601.

Consignment returns - From your warehouse, you are delivering to your customer via 633 movement type. Against this transaction, whatever returns comes to you, it is called consignment returns.

Returns - Materials you sold to customer via 601 movement type and against that sales, if some material is returned to you, it is called normal returns.
