Regarding Characteristics of material

Hi

I have created six materials and these material will be selling in different colors and different sizes but the selling price will be same. now my problem is when creating sales order i want to know what color and what size i am giving to the customer.

So where to maintain and define characteristics or features of these mateial.

Hi

U can maintain the classification view in the material master, wherein u can maintain the characteristics for the material eg colour red, white, yellow etc

Hello,

First you need to create a class with txn : CL01, then create characteristics with Txn: CT04, assing the characteristics to the class. Assign this class to the classification tab of the material master.

There are a lot more things to be done for variant configuration, do a search in this forum, you will get stepwise configuration documents for variants.

Hi,

For those six material create Characteristics in transaction code CT04 and follow the steps for Variant configuration and you will be able get the characteristic colours when you are creating the Sales Order.
