Dear Experts,

While performing demo heterogeneous system copy on our Test system , we have source system running on MSSQL 2005 win 2003 Ecc 6.0 platform which is Exported and Being Imported on Target machine with Oracle 10.2.0.2 win 2003 platform. During Import ABAP phase it is giving error as Invalid Migration key for heterogeneous system copy and asking to reenter the same.

While giving Inputs on Service.sap.com/migrationkey we have provided proper Inputs as below.

Source System

System ID

Release Release 7.00

Operating system NT/INTEL/WIN2003

Database MSSQLSRV8.0

DB Server Hostname (case sensitive)

Target System

System ID

Operating system NT/INTEL/WIN2003

Database ORACLE 10.2.0.2

DB Server Hostname (case sensitive)

Is entry for MSSQL source database is wrong becuase in SAP system --> status screen we get below message

MSSQL release 9.00.1399.

Please let me know at earliest.

Best Regards,

AJ

If you were using a "new" license key after installation (which is most likeley the case) you need to check note 1120872 - Hom./Het.System Copy SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SR3. Search there for the entry "<D019527, 09/MAY/06>" and use that key instead.

The reason is, that the /migrationkey application available does not generate migration keys for the "new" licenses.

Markus,

Thank you very very much for this note .... I have finished my heterogeneous system copy successfully from SQL to Oracle.

One more question from my end would be , this key is (valid until 31/DEC/08) , so in future this note is supposed to get revised with latest MIgration key for new licenses ?

Sincerely appreciate your help over resolving this issue for me.

Best Regards,

AR

Yes - they will create a new one if that one expired.

Hi,

Database MSSQLSRV8.0 is OK,

I thing you enter wrong installation number during generating migration key from Service.sap.com/migrationkey

Is there any way to delete existing keys generated from OSS site and try to generate new one again with same credentials.

Hi,

i'm not sure about delete but,

Service.sap.com/migrationkey

then click migration keys requested by me

and check there is any option for delete.
