Pricing procedure determination

Hi All

I have a question in pricing procedure determination..

You can see a condition type entry PR00 below. How is this useful in pricing procedure determination

1000 01 11 2 1 ZH010 OS Domestic Sys-Sing. PR00 List Price

Hello,

you can maintain a condtion type in the determination of the pricing procedure.

If you maintain here the PR00, then you can see this condition in the item overview in the order.

In this cas it is not necessary to jump in the condition detail.

Please go into VA02 and have a look on the item.

In teh line of the item there are the field condtion type and amount. In these fields are the condtion which is maintained in the determination of the pricing procedure and the value therefore.

If you maintain nothing in the customizing for the pricing prcedure, then these both fields are BLANK.

Hi sonali

In pricing procedure determination OVKK, we give a condition type. so if you enter that condition type , that condition type appears in the double line entry .in the sales order. and if you have not maintained condition record for that condition type , it gives an error message telling " pricing error missing" when you create a sales order. so instead of going to item -> conditions and entering the value for that condition type directly you can enter the value in the line item itself

Example:

PRICING PROCEDURE DETERMINATION - OVKK

sales orgn + dist channel + divn + cuPP + duPP RVAA01 PR00

So if you have not maintained condition record for PR00 for any material and if you have entered that material in the sales order it will give a message "pricing error missing" , so instead of going to

item data - > condtions - > entering the PR00 value, directly you can enter the PR00 value at the line item itself

Thanks for your reply.

But pricing procedure itself has many condition types which will be calculated and displayed in the sales order.

Hence my question is why should i put the condition type in pricing procedure determination in OVKK Tcode.

Hi sonali

It is not mandatory to put condition type first of all . As you said there are many condition types in pricing procedure.

Now why you are putting that condition type is , say for example if you have put PR00 and you have not maintained condition record for PR00.when you create a sales order in the double line entry automatically , there is field ctype , there you can enter the value.

Why PR00?

If you enter PR00 value system will calculate the other values based on this price only as PR00 is the base price. That is the main reason we maintain PR00 condition type in OVKK

Srinath explained u well.To add

For example

1st case

You maintained PR00 in determination and if you don't maintain condiion records then in sales order when u get message PR00 is missing you go to Item- conditions.There in conditions tab you can see PR00 with blank price.

2nd case

You didnt maintain PR00 in determination,and if you don't maintain condiion records then in sales order when u get message PR00 is missing you go to Item- conditions.There in conditions tab you DONT see PR00 ,You should add PR00 and give value.

At the outset...This doesnt make difference and the reason for using PR00 is as it is the base condition type to caliculate.

This is just for your information that the Condition Type can be left blank also in OVKK. It will not have an impact in Transaction.

Pricing procedure is determine on the basis of

Sales Area ( Sales org.distri.channelDivision) + Sales Document pricing procedure + Customer Pricing Procedure.

This is how the pricing procedure is detrmine in the sales order.

PR00 is one of the pricing conditon in the pricing proceudre which have effect on your pricing.

The Value of the condition type which you have mentioned in the Pricing procedure determination will be shown in the Amount field during Sales order creation.

Pricing Procedure is determned with combination of

Sales Org. Dist. ChannelDivisionCustomer Pricing Procedure + Document pricing procedure and there is no need to maintain condition type in Pricing procedure determination

but as you asked How is this useful in pricing procedure determination

here condition type is nothing but Proposed condition type for fast entry

The condition type that the system automatically proposes in the double-line entry screen during sales order processing.

here, If you leave the Condition Type field blank, the system displays the active price condition during sales order processing.

If you change a condition manually, this will be displayed in the double-line entry screen.

In pricing procedure determination condition type is attached it helps u to Proposed condition type for fast entry.

The condition type that the system automatically proposes in the double-line entry screen during sales order processing.

Procedure

Enter a condition type. If you leave the field blank, the system displays the active price condition during sales order processing.

Exception

If you change a condition manually, this will be displayed in the double-line entry screen.

There is no need for any condition type in determination.

Condition type only indictae how pri procedure is going to react.

Hemant
