Hi

How to use the ECM in Document management system?

What is difference between version & revision when using ECM for DMS?

If any body implemented ECM for manufacturing industry pls give me some scenario where ECM will help?

My requirement is system should track each & every amendment in drawing & ISO documents.

Secondly, your basic purpose is to "track each & every amendment in drawing & ISO documents." correct, then you can do it at DMS itself by,,

To control the users to do certain changes you can use the "Document status".

SPRO>Cross-Application Components>Document Management>Control Data>Define document types and select the node Defien document status description.

And to track the rest details you can use the revision levels for the document.

I have only suggested you the other easier option.Else your idia of implimenting ECM for DMS is 100% correct.
