HI,

Collaboration profile

In collaboration profile you specify the relevant receivers and interfaces. It is used for routing.

Describes the functions of communication parties with regard to message exchange.

The profile of a communication party consists of its identifier, services, interfaces, and communication channels.

To create a collaboration profile, define the objects communication party, service, and communication channel.

In SAP Exchange Infrastructure which is now Process Integration in latest version 7.1, you can address senders or receivers of messages on two levels. The objects communication party and service are available for this purpose. For example, if you want to address a company or a business partner, you can use the object communication party. To address technical or business units, you use the object service. You can use this object without the object communication party or for further structuring with the object communication party.

HI

The 3 task areas at Configuration time are the Collaboration profile, Logical Routing, and the Collaboration agreement.

u2022Collaboration Profile u2013 (Objects: Communication Party, Service and Communication Channel)

u2022Logical Routing u2013 (Objects: Receiver Determination, Interface Determination)

u2022Collaboration Agreement u2013 (Objects: Sender Agreement, Receiver Agreement)

In the Collaboration profile we specify which services (Business Service, Business Process or Business System) will participate in a message exchange. For each we may also specify a communication channel, which represents the technical communication path. (For instance, the adapter type and configuration parameters for the adapter)

In Logical Routing we determine both who should be receiver of a message and what interface should receive the message.

In a Collaboration Agreement we define which communication channel to use to process message for particular combination of senders and receivers.

Collaboration Profile: Here senders, receivers and technical communication paths are specified. Here true senders and receivers are created along with technical details.

Components:

Communication party

Service

Communication Channel

Party: Parties are defined to represent a business or company unit. Within a party service can be defined.

Communication party is nothing but Business system/process/service.

Communication Party:

Business System

Business Service

Integration Process

Business system addresses a specific (Application) system in the SLD as a sender or receiver of the message. It will have the information about the inbound and outbound interfaces and SWCV.

Business service represents abstract, addressable units whose actual system landscape is not published or partially known.

Integration/Business process addresses an executable process as a sender or receiver of message.

Communication channel is used to define the type and configuration of the adapter used during inbound or outbound message processing. It also contains additional details about message exchange like Transport protocol, Message protocol, and Adapter engine.

Hi,

Describes the functions of communication parties with regard to message exchange.

The profile of a communication party consists of its identifier, services, interfaces, and communication channels. To create a collaboration profile, define the objects communication party, service, and communication channel.

In SAP Exchange Infrastructure, you can address senders or receivers of messages on two levels. The objects communication party and service are available for this purpose. For example, if you want to address a company or a business partner, you can use the object communication party. To address technical or business units, you use the object service. You can use this object without the object communication party or for further structuring with the object communication party.

In a collaboration profile you can do the following:

· Model the units that you want to address as the sender or receiver of a message

· Define the available communication channels for the inbound and outbound processing of the messages
