hi,Experts:
I want to send an email via mail adapter.
..........
When I active and test it, I find some errors by RWB->Comoponet Monitor->Communicaiton Channel Monitor->mail Adapter:
-5/27/08 2:57:04 PM 1c8829e0-2bba-11dd-972f-0015605ee112 failed to send mail: java.io.IOException: server does not support PLAIN or LOGIN authentication-
1.The login user and password are right.
2.XI server and Mail Server is inner network.(xi server : 10.192.148.135, mail server:10.192.128.8)
3.Our Company policy can't visit outside network,if need, the proxy server ip is needed.
Can give me some tips?
Many thanks.

Hi,Shabari:
thanks for your response!
if I remove user id and pwd, new error message display as below:
failed to send mail: java.io.IOException: server not responding OK to MAIL FROM; 454 5.7.3 Client does not have permission to submit mail to this server.
So I think , Maybe it was caused by the mail server and outside nework proxy IP?
In other word, the XI server can't visit mail server.
Regards,
Terry
Hi,
Check the for the settings while configuring the Mail adapter.
1) Transport Protocol -SMTP
2) Message Protocal -XIPLAYLOAD
3)Connection parameter URL you are specifying
4) Adapter Engine --Integartion Server
5) Content Encoding -- where you will be using base64 for SAP BASIS 6.40
Also check the External Definition XSD that you have imported in your Integration Builder - Design
