Dropped database connection?

We are having repeated problems of database connections being dropped in WEB AS 6.40

Can someone point me to a solution or fix?

com.sap.engine.services.dbpool.exceptions.BaseSQLException: Connection is invalid.

For more information about the connection,check with the thread available this will provide u the steps and u can correct it.

My database connection is fine. We are connecting to Oracle 9i.

Every 4 weeks Web AS drops the connection with the above exception. I believe it's a problem in the server where connection to the database is completely lost and the exception thrown point to invalid connection. The exception points to WEBAS.

Can someone PLEASE respond on this issue?
