not recognizing CLOB datatype

Hi all,

I am running a Query Template consists of a query which has CLOB type column. But in the output it is not at all showing the data.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Hi Vereesh,

I ran into a similar issue with 11.5. It seemed that the query editor would not pass the data as CLOB and instead ran into a 4k max limit for a string datatype. It was posted about a year ago by someone (Sara Mani, perhaps), maybe even a little longer.

You can test using data just over the 4k limit to see what gets by. If it is hitting the 4k limit, it would seem to have the same limit as before. I also seem to remember that Sam Castro identified a work around for it. I will email this to him and maybe he can respond with a fix.
