Project/wbs no may not be used

Hi Gurus,

While creating a project i am getting the error that Project/Wbs no may not be used.

Please help me to sort out this problem.

Hi,

Check in Tcode: OPSJ for the particular Project ID whether there a check mark in LKS column.

I checked in opsj and and for project id LKS is marked but still I am facing same problem

Hi,

It is marked meaning this Project ID is locked and can not be used.

Try to remove the mark. And then try creating the project.

Hi All

While copying thru standard teplate also i am getting same error , i have checked with tick/untick of lck/lks columns but same error and no effect.

Try removing all the check marks in both the columns and save it.

The key you entered for a project definition or WBS element is not valid according to the settings in Customizing.

The function was not executed.

Procedure

Check the key entered and the Customizing settings. If the edit has been set, you must enter a project code that corresponds with the current coding mask.

Hi,

It seems that you are trying to create the project for which the Project ID is not created hence this is the error.

Try this:

Step 1. Tcode: OPSK remove the check amrk from edit.

Step 2. Remove the check mark from the fiels which were mentioend in earlier replies.

Hope this will solve your issue.
