What are the basic roles needs to be assigned to start XI development

Do anybody provide me the list of basic roles needs to be assigned to an developer to start XI development.

Also Can Anybody have the List of bsic transaction of SAP-XI

Hi Debraj,

the basic XI transactions for developers can be found if you switch to the role menu of SAP_XI_DEVELOPER. However the most important development parts do not take place in the ABAP part and hence there are no transaction codes for this. The ABAP transaction SXMB_IFR will open up a browser window showing links to the different tools (repository, directory, runtime workbench etc.) which developers will need.

Following are the Roles that are required for any XI DEV USER . I will suggest that create some group role short of and then assign the individual users to that group who have authorization for work as xi developer.

SAP_SLD_GUEST

SAP_XI_BPE_CONFIGURATOR_ABAP

SAP_XI_BPE_MONITOR_ABAP

SAP_XI_CONTENT_ORGANIZER_J2EE

SAP_XI_DISPLAY_USER_ABAP

SAP_XI_DISPLAY_USER_J2EE

SAP_XI_ID_SERV_USER

SAP_XI_IR_SERV_USER

SAP_XI_IS_SERV_USER

SAP_XI_MONITOR_ABAP

SAP_XI_MONITOR_J2EE

SAP_XI_RWB_SERV_USER

Hi Debraj ,

Go to transaction su01.

create a new user ,

select roles tab,

on the first column click F4,

in search criteria , choose SAP_XI_*

set of roles related to XI will be displayed .

select all the roles. They all are necessary for XI development.

List od important transactions.

SXMB_IFR --> will take you to the XI home page that involves integration builder , runtime workbench and SLD links.

SXMB_MONI --> to monitor the messages in the XI
