Require Procedure:Old Control files deletion by BRTOOLS

Hi,

I am looking for deletion of old control files created in sapreorg directory.Please guide me with the procedure of the deletion.Also if there is a way to delete them from BRTOOLS,please guide me..

Hi Sharad

You can use brconnect with the -f cleanup function, or in DB13 "Cleanup Logs". It will remove old files from:

/oracle/SID/sapreorg

/oracle/SID/sapcheck

/oracle/SID/saptrace/usertrace

/oracle/SID/saptrace/background

/oracle/SID/saptrace/background

/oracle/SID/102_64/rdbms/audit

Hi,

The cleanup option is used to clean the log files and backup files created in sapreorg.

You can delete the old control file manually, be sure that there are not in used and have extn .old
