Display variants are not same as screen variants.
Display variants are mostly used in reports.
To determine the data presentation in the line item report, you can choose a standard display variant under Display variant or define your own variant.
To choose an existing display variant for the display of the list, choose Choose Display Variant or Settings -> Display Variant -> Choose.
A list of the existing display variants is displayed. In the standard setting, an entry is made for each variant specifying whether this variant was saved as follows:
With sorting
With subtotals
With filter conditions
As a user variant
Display variants are user specific.
