Sales order/Delivery

Plzz give me some examples...

When we create with out reference to sales order/

and when we create with out reference to delivery..

Plzz let me know.....it's very urjent issue..

please be clear in your question,

when the sales order is created in a non-sap system or a R-2 system then the delivery is created without reference to a sales order.

you create a billing without reference for a delivery when it is for a service item. Example an annual maintainace contract will not have any delivery

The deliveries are created without reference to the sales order in a situation where the sales orders are created in a third party tool (external to SAP) and the deliveries are created in the SAP.

We use Stock transport orders (STO) without reference to sales order

We use most of the sales doc types which issue credit memo to the customer

Say for example when we do rebates we issues credit memos with sales doc types B1,B3 all these are order related billing

Adding to above comments, u can create normal OR itself without a preceding document.

SAP has given the option and it is we to decide whether we can make use of it or not. Thats it.

Hi Lucky,

We normally do Delivery without reference to Sales Order in VL01NO

this is done as per the business requirement to reduce the number of transactions done by a user as we can reduce number of miss entries by the user.

Without reference to delivery we do billing for Service Articles as Service is Intangible & cannot be delivered to the customer physically.

If i am wrong please correct me.
