Backup of files....

Hi team,

I want to know how to back up

file.I have Queries regarding Which to choose and say tapes

or in disks.How can I perform the backup.. plz tell in detail

as this is the first time I am performing Backup.

Hello ,

You didn`t mention the OS and Database ?

There are few options are available depend on requirement .

TCODE DB13 - > Select Backup Type say "Full Offline Backup " . Select Media ( Tape ) , schedule OR start immediately . Same can be follow for "online + redo log " .

Hii Santosh,

Ours is windows 2003 server and Database is Oracle

...U said I can take a backup of these in Tapes but what

tapes should I prefer to buy..No knowledge about tapes

too.What about online redo log file..give some detail

information ..Anyother information i need to give plz ask

me.
