"Table control" is a display element that enables the customer to configure the table to match their requirements. This is particularly useful if the table contains a lot of fields.

Every user can define their own view of the data that makes their own work easier, by:

Ÿ- Changing the sequence of columns

Ÿ- Changing the width of columns (including making them invisible)

Ÿ- Saving the settings as a display variant

Ÿ- Making their display variant the standard setting

You should talk to your technical consultant about how table control is worked on.

Hi,

One example of this when separate invoice number ranges for diffent plants. This is generally done by creating a Z table which stores a combination of plant, billing type and number range and during invoice an user exit helps to determine the number range for the invoice using this table. The entries in this table need to be maintained everytime a new plant or billing type is created. This example can be applied to sales orders too. But table maintainence is a risky business and should be avoided as much as possible.
