My question is:

Hi Mandeep,
As my system is XP it does not have an IP Address.
Shoul I create one IP address and assign it to my system.
Once done I will let you know the outcome.
Thanks for the assistance.

Hi,
Please After cliking Mount server if your server is not being displayed,By right clicking mount MDM Derver on your SAP MDM Server, manually in the Mount MDM server Pop up window, write IP address or your host-name of machine on which MDM Server is installed then Press ok and check is your MDM server is mounted this time or not, if it get mounted right click on it and follow as i described earlier.you can check ip address of MDM system by run command prompt and type ipconfig and enter, here your can see your IP address and write this IP address and then your MDM server get mounted. if your MDM server service is then you can see green color sign on your Monted MDM server and then right click on your Mounted MDM server and select DBMS Settings.

Hi Somya,
As you have installed MDM Server and DBMS server, after this open MDM Console mount your MDM server by right clicking on SAP MDM Severs under Console hierarchy.
After mount your MDM Server, Choose DBMS Settings by right click on your Mounted Server
Here you give the name of your DBMS Server, DBMS Type, DBMS UserName and Password.
if it ask for path of log or Archive, give this path mentioned below
C:\Program Files\SAP MDM 5.5\Server\Archives
where C: drive , Any drive where you have installed your MDM Server.
Hope it helps you,
