Hi,

In nw2004s , you can install on any Application system.

Installation -> Planning and Installation guides.

Going through them may give you a better idea of the

prerequisites.

For NW2004, XI needs a new instance, WAS 6.4, Java Add in.

There are still few doubts about SAP ABAP WAS of SAP 4.7 can be used as WAS for XI.

I think SAP Installation Guide as I mentioned ealier will give deep insight into this

Do you want to run Proxy on 4.7 server?

If yes then you have to install XI addon on 4.7 server.

you can download Addon from service market place.
