Temporary Folder On AS

Hi Experts,

is there a way to get a temporary folder on the application server?

I want to create a file from a string on serverside without using the frontend. To do this I need a temporary folder which is available on EVERY SAP system!

Hi,

Are you on Windows or Unix ?

You don't tell us if the temporary folder shoud exist on each app server or should be unique in the SAP system.

Hi Micky,

thanks for your reply but there is no "tmp"-direcotry on our as.

I build a work-around to get temporary space, but only on client-side by using the frontend-services.

well, there are several folders which exist on every sap machine, /tmp/ amongst others.
