hi,
Thanks for the reply....but what i actually wanted to know the steps actually followed while creating a rate category.
for example :
Rate category : creation of Billing Class, defining Billing Schema and Rate determination etc.
Please guide me about the sequence of activities to be followed.
And one more question is how can i create an account class.

Hello,
Define Rate category
Define Division
Define Billing class
Define outsort check group
Define Rate category group
Define Billing schema
If you are creating fresh Rate categorie, I suggest you copy from existing ones so that it wud be easy for you to create them

Hi,
When we create a contract account, at that time we need to specify the account class. Please check transaction code CAA3 to display the contract account, there we can see the field for account class.

Ok,
got u r point..u can create them in IMG\SAP Utilities\Business partner\Contract Partner\Define Account categories.
Account class :Classificatioin of contract accounts within a supply area, e.g. private, industry, local authorities.
