planned costs not computed for material components with category Stock item

Hi to all..

I would like to as what do i need to properly configure in order for the planned costs of Material components that are under stock items? if i classify the material components as N (NOn stock), the system calculates the cost immediately by multiplying the quantity and the price.. however if i classify the material as L (Stock item) there would always be an error in the cost calculation saying that Consumption Amount Cannot be Determined..

hope someong could guide me on the config especially that i am very new to Project System..

Hi,

Is it consumption amount?

It must be consumption account.

Please ask the MM consultant to check the settings in OBYC for the valuation class mentioned in the material master.

The problem i think was the proper assignment of cost elements. It was our FICO consultant who fixed it.
