hi,
when executing RZ20, the screen title is
CCMS Monitor Sets - Maintenance functions OFF
does it mean that the monitoring is not configured yet ?
if i were to start the monitoring, how do i turn it on ? what needs to be monitored ?
please share with me how you make sure of the CCMS monitor sets.
comment and advice will be highly appreciated.

RZ20 --> Extras --> Activate Maintainence functions
does it mean that the monitoring is not configured yet ?
Im not sure what this means. To copy the templates, I think you have to activate the maintainence function (not sure). I always do this as the 1st step.
if i were to start the monitoring, how do i turn it on ?
There are many things you will need to do
1. Configure SCOT to send out emails
2. Configure an auto reaction method (CCMS_ONALERT_EMAIL_V2)
3. Assign it to the nodes you need to monitor
4. Assign the auto reaction method to those nodes
etc etc
what needs to be monitored ?
Usually it is the database and the filesystem space, performance etc. It really depends on what you want.
please share with me how you make sure of the CCMS monitor sets.
Look at this link

comment and advice will be highly appreciated.

Hi
Reply to the first point
does it mean that the monitoring is not configured yet ?
is No, it is not related to whether monitoring is activated or not, this is basically to get CCMS monitoring to Change Mode from the Display mode, where in you can configure the monitoring.
Hope this helps

hi all,
typo in my post ...
please share with me how you make sure of the CCMS monitor sets.
should be "please share with me how you make use of the CCMS monitor sets."

Kent,
Did you check the link I sent you. That should be MORE than enough to get CCMS configured. Infact, that is everything there is about CCMS. And that is what I used to set it up.
You will need to do something more than just asking to be spoon fed and posting single line questions. Don't expect an answer for this.
hi Kunal Belnekar,
thanks for your feeding ... i will swallow the food myself
if i don't make the question simple, how do u earn points ? if the problem or question is too complicated you might not know how to answer.
whether it is simple or difficult is very subjective.

kent
