Archiving and Deletion on PI 7.0

Hi,

we are on PI 7.0 Service Pack 12. I am looking for a document that explains the SAP Recommendation for steps to be followed for setting up Archiving and Deletion on PI 7.0. I have found various older documents for XI 3 including "Archiving and Deleting messages from XI_ A step by step Guide.pdf" but it was created for SAP NW 04 u2013 XI 3.0 in 2005.

I would also like to know what is the best way to DELETE messages manually from the Integration and Adapter Engines. (on Dev systems)

Try with mode as DELETE and see if file is getting Deleted

I am actually looking for a document specific to PI 7.0. I have already seen this step by step guide and have looked at the help.sap.com pages, I was just wondering whether SAP has a document for Archiving and Deletion specific for PI 7.0.

Hi,

There are no differences if you use Archiving guide of XI 3.0 and PI 7.0. So you can go thru with the guides related with XI 3.0 and it will work for PI 7.0 also.
