Hi all,
I have created the file to RFC scenario its working fine in deve system now i want to move the scenario to QA system.
I am using same SLD for Dev and Quality system
Could you pls let me know the steps which i need to tack care how to move from dev to QA system.
Now i want to setup Alerts for file to RFC scenario if any problem comes need to nofify to user. I am not using the BPM concept. pls guide me the steps.
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
You can use same technical systems and Business systems.
1. Go to Dev SLD and Export all or select your SWCV, Products, Technical and Business Systems(you want to transport). This is nothing but saving of the SLD objects as a CIM file on your local machine. You would also need to export the Technical And Business System poitning to your XI integration server .
2. Go to the QA SLD and then import these objects exported in Step 1 in QA SLD
3. Now, create the QA Tech and Business Systems in the QA SLD
4. Go to the Dev Business systems imported on the QS SLD and you will have an option Transport Targets. In this map the Source Business System to the Target Business Systems.
Make sure that all Dev Business Systems have the correspodning Transport Targets for the QA Business SYstems
5. Now if you import the ID objects in QA , the business systems name will be renamed automatically.
You need to create Transport Groups on your QA SLD. One for Dev and One for QA. You can create Transport Groups only for Integration Server Business Systems.
And this is why you would need to export the Dev XI technical System and Business System from the SLD of Dev and Import it into the QA SLD.
2. Create the transport groups and then assign all Dev Business Systems to Dev Group, all QA Business Systems to QA group and then create the transport targets.
You use the Option related Integration server in the Business Systems to assign a Business System to a Group.

Transporting the scenario from Dev to QA:
In Integration Repository
1)Right click on the Namespace which you want to send to Quality system and select the export option
2) Now click on Export
3)Save the file in .tpz format in this link
\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\global\xi\repository_server\export\sample.tpz
4)Now copy the file from the above link and paste it in following link
\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\global\xi\repository_server\import\sample.tpz
*In Integration Directory8
Follow the same procedure as above
\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\global\xi\directory_server\export\sample.tpz
Reward points if this helps

Hi Venkat,
U can do the Transportation using File system
Exporting & Importing design objects:
1) Choose 'Tools' menu under that select ';Export Design Objects'
2) select Transport using File System mode and follow the wizard's instructions.
3)Once Export the design objects it saves .TPZ files in the Export Directory on Repoistery server.
4) Do not change the File name of the Export file, If u do Integration Builder will not accept the files while Importing.
5) to Import the Export files to another Intergration Repoistery first Copy (or) Move to Import directory of Targer Repoistery.
6) In Target Repoistery Choose Tools---> Select Import Design Objects
7) Select the export files saved in the Import directory by using the dialog box that appears.
😎 If the Import is successful the export files are moved to sub directory..
Same thing happend in the Configuration Objects.

Use Control Step.....
and also...
Configuration steps are: go to transaction ALRTCATDEF
1) Define Alert Category
2) Create container elements which are used for holding an error messages.
3) Recipient Determination.
After configuration follow the below weblog Triggering from BPM.

Hello,
AS you are using a single SLD , you need to do the following,
1. - Technical Landscape ( Build System Targets )
Create the technical system / logical system poitning to the corresponding QA systems ( if there are going to be diffeent R3 systems for dev and QA )
2. - Business Landscape
Create the Business Systems for QA
3. - Create Transport Targets
Create the Transport Target for your Business System from the Dev to QA.
4. - Now, you can export your IR and ID as TPZ files and reimport them into QA.
The only chnage that will be needed to be done will be on the Communication Channels.
Make the change and then activate the entire change list.
If you are using Transport Target for Business Systems, then the only ID can be resued only commuincation channels wuill have to be changed

Two types of transport mechanism are used in PI.
File transport method. - Manual process
CMS transport method.-automated process.

Usually Basis people handle the transport, but again it depends upon the project roles and responsibility everyone holds.

Hi,
First start by creating the alerts with this BLOG
/people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/09/09/xi-alerts--step-by-step
Have a look at this SAP help file while creating the Container variables in the above Blog
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/80/942f3ffed33d67e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
To send email to mail box automatically when alert occurs in XI
Can you check whether the below authorization is given to that user.
For the sending of alerts via external communication methods (e-mail, sms, fax) and for inbound processing, an RFC user has to be created on the central alert server with the role SAP_BC_ALM_ALERT_USER. The authorization objects contained in this role are S_OC_SEND and S_RFC.
refer the help:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/b2/de0741375cf16fe10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
also
check in ALRTCATDEF transaction what is the user maintained under the fixed receipent tab for that user check the email address in SU01 transaction.
Please check in transaction SCOT (you can give address of your SMTP server in order to send mails),
If it is configured then probably you need to personalized alert delivery. In alert inbox you can select personalized alert delivery and check for "Mail" option.
In SCOT you can see how many mails have beed sent via your XI system.
most of the time email problem is solved by correcting configuration in SCOT. For testing mail system click on System->short message and then send one message to yourself
