DB Instance cannot create task file

HI all,

I m installing IDES ERP 2004 linking to MS SQL 2000 Enterprise Database on window 2003 environment ,my CI was successful,but during the DB Instance i get an error in the log file

as "cannot create task file SAPSload.tsk"

Do have to set anything!

Can anyone please help me out!

Hello Felix,

Thanks 4 ur help. I have full access to the.TSK file, but as soon as i start the DB Instance i also get an error

stating as below:(Should I have to reinstall the CI again?)

Hi Yogi,

Sorry for the delay. I have a blog regarding my installation on Linux. I got the same error in it. I dono which OS u are installing.

I had listed some errors which are similar to the errors listed in my blog. Please give me some more details regarding the installation so that I can help you better. Also, check if any access rights are blocked in tsk file in tmp dir (ie., Program FIles/sapinst_dir or /tmp in unix)

CI installation is just a 5 minute job. You can very well do CI installation 'n' number of times before DB installation whcih actually doesn't affect anything cos I had tried the same.

Please give the dump of SAPSDIC.log and SAPSSEXC.log

Hello Felix,

Sorry for the delay also 4m me.. I was on the customer site for 3 days and was not able to check ur mail.

I m installing on Windows 2003 OS. I have now installed MSQL(as server and client version is tht right)and also the CI.I will be installing DB instance in a couple of hours and report u back if i expereince some error.

Yogi,

Goto server and search for .TSK file and give complete access to it. Then retry. You are sure to succeed. The error means the installation is not able to read the TSK file from the installation location.
