Hello Sirs,

Because of the power fluctuations my server have got restarted but when i am starting my MMC my dispatcher is coming to dead state the trace what i have got is like ...

Also, Make sure there isnt a kill.sap file in the work directory as well.. since it crashed that file me be there... if it is delete it

I see errors pointing to db connectivity in dev_w* file you posted. See if your db is up. Please check the status of listener as well.

Use R3trans -d ... the return code should be 0000.

As I have observed its again the same thing Dispatcher

again stoped .Well I checked DB,Listener ..everything

is started but I observe the same problem also I found

the kill.sap file from work directory but no use as the

same problem is continuing.also I observed that in Syslog

as Database error 1033 at Con.

Check your Oracle Alert Log, does it show text like:

ORA-1033

then its probably your database is in "logon or shut down in Progress" phase.

Hello Manjula,

You need to put some effort yourself into the investigatino of 'your' server problem. The rest of us in this forum could give you hints to resolve your problem and we do this on voluntary basis.

Rest is up to you.

What i meant in my earlier post was , the error you get in your System Log denotes that probably your Database is in 'Starting phase or Shutdown Phase'.

Please check the Database alert logs for any errors that may be causing the database to be in the state that it appears to be.

If the database is NOT in the open state, all work process will die with error 1033.

Hope that is clear enough.

Hi,

I am not sure wthr it helps to you or not, but this is the troubleshooting technique that we use.

Check

1. /usr/sap/SID/<D..>/work and look for error messages in dev_w0 files dev_disp.

2. Also check SAPOSCOL is started and and running.

3. Check START profile under usr\sap\SID\SYS\profile.

4. Also check wthr at Os level there is enough space(if not set shred memory using RZ10)
