wheh i m creating customer master....its giving me the message that sales area 2000 01 01 is not defined for customer . so where to define that.

The purpose of this activity is to define distribution channels which have common master data..

IMG Menu -> Sales and Distribution -> Master Data -> Define Common Distribution Channels

Transaction Code: VOR1

2. Defining Common Divisions for Master DataUse

The purpose of this activity is to define distribution channels which have common master data..

Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:

IMG Menu -> Sales and Distribution -> Master Data -> Define Common Division

Hi,

Please use this checklist before you start creating the customer using XD01:

1. Have you defind and assigned Sales Organization, Distribution Channel and Division.

2. Have you done the consistency check to ensure the Org Structures are in tact. Check the report for any

errors.

3. Have you defined the Account Groups/ use exisitng Account Groups.

4. Have you choosen internal / external number ranges?

5. Have you configured the Partner Determinations correctly?

Once you are confident of all the above,

1. Enter transaction XD01

2. Choose your Account Group

3. Enter external number / else leave it blank

4. Choose your sales areas

5. Press Enter

Perhaps you might have done all the above. If yes, please list out what you have done, if the issue is still open.

If the issue is resolved, let us know how you resolved it.

1.First you set up the sales area.

2.Defne commom distribution channel and division

3.maintain reference sales org, distribution channel, division.
