Hello All,
I am new in Basis and I wann to know,
Why we need to put the two IP add in SAP router Host file .
As in my Router
127.0.0.1 localhost
123.252.163.88 ---ROUTER
#192.168.0.98 ---ROUTER
Hi,
You question is not giving much details to answer you....
Normally the SAP Router will be in a DMZ zone.. and the Host names of SAP Systems will not get resolved through DNS... so we maintain host entries of SAP Systems in the host file of SAP Router system...
The way you have mentioned
123.252.163.88 ---ROUTER
#192.168.0.98 ---ROUTER
are not going to work any way
the format to enter host name - ip address mapping in host file is
<IP ADDRESS> <HOST NAME>
EX
10.0.0.23 eccprod.company.local
Hope this helps you understand.
