How to allow Web GUI but not SAP GUI?

Hello experts,

for a special user - who is normally working with a java web dynpro frontend application that ist connected to the backend by numerous RFCs - I would like to publish a single additional web transaction on the integrated ITS. Therefore this user must now be declared as a dialogue user instead of communication user. But for some reasons I don't want to allow him to work with the SAP GUI in general.

Is there a simple solution to the problem?

Kind regards

Peter

As far as i know theres no way to restrict that..

The only way will be remove SAPGUi from the PC of this user and force him to use webgui.

Hi Peter,

Try this out. Disable ports 32XX and 36XX on the service file of the user's machine where XX will be the system number. WEb Gui makes use of different ports though. I am not very sure on this approach as I have never tested this but may be you can give it a shot.

Regards.

Thank you for your answers - both ending up in the same result. But what if the user is working on different machines? Is there a way to prevent the use of SAP GUI depending on the user? The user of the operating system would also do.
