TabStrip background

Hi everybody

I need to control the tabstrip background color. I can see that this color changes depending on the frame style of the iview containing the tabstrip.

can anyone provide help? Thanks

Hi Vicenco,

by default (since SP11) you can modify the color via the portal theme, but not every color can be modified. Therefore you have to modify the CSS file for Visual Composer, but then you have to modify this CSS after every upgrade (or you make a copy of the modified css file and copy it into the directory after every upgrade).

hi Marcel, thanks a lot, this almost solves it

could you just point out exactly which section of the CSS should be changed for this very property (tab background)?

I don't like the idea of me blindly messing around in customer's highly customized VC CSS...

Hi Vicenco,

I'm sorry to say that I have never looked for the color of the tabstrip. Maybe the CSS classes are called someting like strip. Anyway, I suggest to use the [tool pixie|http://nattyware.com/pixie.html] for getting the color code of the color then search for the color code in the css and modify it and execute the application. It's a try and error game... sorry for that, maybe SAP bring a docu for that. This is a good cue... I will ask Dafna, if the development team resp. the documentation team can bring it as article or how to guide.
