Plant excisable

HI

We have a requirement where we need to treat new plants as non excisable plants, we are usign them for spare parts sales.

Due to some business reasons i need to maintain these new service plants in table

J_1IWRKCUS (Plant settings) as depots, correspondingly with new registrations in table j_1IREGSET with blank entries.

I am worrying now that if i maitain these entries will system treats my new plants as excisable plants? Whats the significance for these two tables?

How do i enable my new plants as non excisable?

Dear Shan

If you dont maintain the plant details for company code in J1ID - Excise Indicator for Plant, it will be considered as non exciseable plant.

thanks

Hi,

Create a new excise indicator as non modvatable and assign it to all non excisable plants. And in purchase orders use tax codes without excise. In few of the cases if you are purchasing excisable materials from vendors which are not excisable for these plants, load excise value on inventory. In this case you can use non deductible tax codes.

Do you mean to say that enabling entries in these two tables is not a problem?

If i maintain entries in these tables system will this affect any where as exciable?

Its ok that u maintain entries in table J_1IWRKCUS, but make sure u do not maintain entries in J1ID for that Plant, then it will be treated as non excisable plant only.

Cheers...
