Free Goods, TANN & R100 . how it works

Dear Gurus

we define Free godds in VBN1. or we can record free goods in sales order by chaning item category to TANN . where we configure the TANN & R100 ( condition type) ? how it works ?

Hi,

TANN is the Item Category for Free goods i.e. goods which are not relevant for pricing .Tcode for configuring TANN item category is VOV7.Whenever you need to create a free goods you need to make the item category as TANN .

R100 is a condition type for 100% discount and You have to include this condition type in your pricing procedure.Only then the goods would not be priced.

TCODE for configuring R100 is V/06.

TCODE for maintaining your pricing procedure is V/08.

TCODE for configuring free goods determination is VBN1.

When we enter a material and quantity in the sales order based on the freegoods pricing procedure assignment(same as pricing procedure...Sales areaCuPPDocPP) the system checks for the availability of the valid condition records for free goods. If any valid record exists, it determines the free goods in the sales order.

Since we make the item category determination for TANN, keeping TAN as the higher level item category, the sub items are determined with TANN.

Coming to the pricing of the free good - the Pricing relevance field in TANN says - the item is priced and 100% discount. It means the items are priced as normal items(main items) and finally R100 will be determined and entire amount will be given as discount making the net amount zero.

you can define free good item category and free goods condition type in SPRO -SD - BASICFUNCTION -FREE GOODS - DETERMINE ITEM CATEGORY FOR FREE GOODS. andcondition type v/06 R100 you can define.then you have to do determinination then this condition type you have to place in the pricing procedure and you have keep requirement 55.then it will work.

TANN is the Item Category of Free goods which If you check the Item Categoriy Customization You will find it not relavent for pricing.

YOu can change the entry from TAN to TANN if you have defined the item categories determination in sucha way.

Where as The Condition type for 100 % Discount for a particular product is R100.

Here you can get the taxes leived on the Customer But the bsic price of the good is free.

This in Configured from VBN1.

Remember the Requirements and the BAse Value of the Condition type is specifically defined .

If you check and Proceduer with R100 unless and until if you give the requirements and the calculation type correct system will not activate the Condition type.

u will configure the item category TANN in tcode VOV7 and assign it in VOV4.
