ORA - 1652 -Unable to extend Temp segment

Hi Team,

During our DB Reorg we have received the Oracle Alert - ORA-1652 Unable to extend the Temp Segment by 15485 in tablespace :PSAPBTABI.

Our DBReorg got cancelled..

We would like to know how we can resolve the above error so that we can reschedule the DB Reorg activity..

Sounds like either a space problem or a auth issue.

Most likely you have run out of space and the tablespace cannot be extended.

Hi,

Thank you for ur quick reply..

But when I checked PSAPBTABI used % is only 54..

Is there anyother possiblity or solution to avoid this issue..

The whole tablespace PSAPTABI is 54% used. However , have a look inside the tablespace to see how many data files you have defined. It might well be that for example you have 4 data files 2 of them in Non-extend mode and 2 in extend mode with Max extend set up. One of the 2 in extend mode could be full, it might have reached the max extend and cannot extend further. The second could have enough space and therefore the calculation is done for the total of all datafiles and give 54% used.

Have a look at the data files and give us more details.
