Export Repository Schema -> XSD

I am trying to use a XSD for my syndication . This XSD was converted from an repository schema [converted using the jar files].

When I use the XSD in the syndicator - I select

Type = xml schema file,

Remote system = MDM

and when I select the XML file name - the Root automatically gets populated - Here I am expecting the Root tobe the that of the main table [CatalogItemsmsg] - but what I see is that of a sub table[TransportationGroupsmsg] . Why is this ? is there something wrong in the repository or the conversion or what ?

It could be that something went wrong when you were generating the XSD from your repository schema. What tool are you using to generate the schema?

I am following the How to Guide listed below:

How to generate XSD Schemas from existing MDM 5.5 SP4 & SP5 repositories.

using the "Java u2013jar xomLite45.jar MyFile.xml" syntax.

I have not seen any SP06 specific How to Guides for converting to XSD ..unless I missed it somehow.

After converting to XSD - is there any special treatment tobe done using a xml editing tool like Oxygen or AltovaXMLSpy ?
