Exclusive indicator on the access sequence

Hi Gurus,

We have three tables on the access sequence for condtion type PR00 and non of them have a exclusive indicator.

Please tell me whether system will continue look at record based on all three tables even if it found record based on the first table.

Regards,

Anand.

Hi

If exclusion indicator is not set in the access sequence for different accesses, then if the system finds a record, it determines it and will not stop the search and continue with the next access and will determine any number of valid records that are available.

Thanks,

Ravi

Hi,

The system will check for all the condition tables if none of them are checke with exclusive. However, its recomended that you check the last condition table as exclusive since it would stop at the last condtion table and pick up the relevent data. It would also improve system performace.

Dear anand,

Yes, you r right .

If u have not maintained the exclusion indicator , please maintain , otherwise , system will search in all level and if found in all levels ( say 3 ) , PR00 will be repeated 3 times in pricing conditions.

This is used to pickup some specific values pertaining to the material , for ex : you have 5 levels for PR00 , and exclusion indicater is not maintained for first levels and then maintained ,

Here , system will take global value from the first level and continue to search in next level and take the specific values.

In this way you can have one fix value which is applicable for all materials and one specific value which is maintained at meaterial specific.

You have to check it always or ells it go on searching no use of conduction record tick means when system will find most specific conduction record it will stop searching for other records

Hi

If exclusion has not been checked anywhere, system will continue to search if a valid condition record is found as well.

Hi SAP guru,

going one step ahead please tell me why it continues to look at next accesses even after it found valid record on the present access.

Is there is any other reason.

Hi

The indicator is provided and if checked there should not be any confusion on the condition record being fetched and to fetch the valid record. It is ideal to check the exclusion indicator.
