What is the differnce between work order and internal order.
how the goods issue is done and what r the Tcodes to see the work order and internnal order.
Thank you
Hi. Not sure if this is really a SRM thread, but I can try and help anyway.
A work order is created from plant maintenance, and informs what maintenance needs to be carried out. A good example would be a car service. The work order would say "carry out service on car" and would contain a list of parts to be used, oil, water and so on. The car itself would be a piece of equipment in a functional location. It could also be an asset as well as a pice of equipment.
When all the work is done the assoicated costs are settled against the equipment.
An internal order is just a financial document to hold costs.
From an MM Point of view though, issuing items to an internal order or a work order is done the same way. Movement type 261 consumption for order.
I think in terms of costs internal and work orders are settled in a similar way, but there is a lot more functionality around a work order.
Regards,
Dave.
