availability check issue

Dear all,

i have an issue where stock in the plant shows 19000 KG quanity but when i place the order for 12800 KG then quantity confirmed only 7000 KG unit of measure also i checked.

when i look at the stock requirement list for that material there was a delivery happend way back in the year 1999 and the delivery quantity was 12000 included in that while doing the availability check now.

Because of this only 7000 cofirmed. Actually after 1999 there were somany transactions(Purchasing, GIs etc..) happned for that material but nothing was recorded.

what could be the problem for this? why system was not considering all the previous transactions?

what configuration changes must have changed or need to be checked?

is that some thing to do with version change? if so how to find what changes are taken place like at delivery item category level in which tables?

please help me by giving your inputs,

The material quantity may be already assigned to some orders.

Check the open orders for this material in transaction VA05

reject all open orders or process them completely.
