Hi everyone,
I have a question regarding the reliability of MI here in particular of the DB2e to handle a SyncBo with around 200k records. This table shouldn't change too often, because contains the material description (MARA) and we only need to interrogate this table on the mobile device.
First of all I suppose we need an external storage for handling this amount of data, so the mobile device has to be equipped with an external storage slot (compact flash or SD) - as I know only compact flash is supported by SAP, right?
The second point, we need to know how the synchronization process will be able to handle such amount of data.
We tried on a PC version of MI and the time spent for synchronization was reasonable - around 10 minutes - for first synchronization, but we are making worries about the PDA with a much lower compute power.
Your help is much appreciated.

Hi,
we have a DB2e with about 150k records. It works fine, even without using CF. We are using generic sync and it takes about 1,5 hours to sync on a pda. To avoid problems with memory, we download sets of 1000 records each time. The synchronization would have been faster if we had increased the size, but you have to test what fits your applicaiton best.
