How to stop SAP<SID>_systNo. service for updating the Kernel.

Hi Guys,

Im trying to update the kernel, please let me know how can i stop the SAP<SID>_systNo. service. I successfully stopped the SAPOSCOL service by saposcol -k option but plzz tell me how can i stop the SAP<SID>_SystNo. service.

Hi,

You need to Stop SAP,and SAPMMC

Shutdown SAP<SID>_systNo service.

Then from command mode -> sapstartsrv.exe enter the info and start SAP<SID>_systNo, start sapmmc.

Yes, It will stop the running SAP instance. For updating kernel you need to shutdown your SAP instance.
