Hi friends this is santosh,can anybody please tell me,without reference to credit memo request can we create credit memo billing ? I mean with reference to normal billing u2013 -but not reference to credit memo request--can we create the credit memo billing. If yes then how ?

Hello,

You can create a credit memo with reference to the original invoice without creating a credit memo request. The copying control between the invoice and credit memo sould be set.

But it will not give full control over the release process. Normally credit memo request will be blocked for billing, an authorised person or department will approve the credit and remove the billing block, then the credit memo will be generated.

You can create a credit memo wrt the billing document as well provided you have maintained the copy control settings between the previous billing type and the credit memo.
