Dear Vijay,
Go to DC10 and check the Version Assignment tab for auto versioning
After that, if you want to make new version , go to CV01n put the Document number , type etc and click enter..
You will get a promt saying "New version copied from ..."
So new version would be created..

Aby

Hi Vijay,
Even if the document is released you can always create a new version in CV01N.... when you enter the docuement number for which earlier version is there in SAP ......... it will ask that "New version copied from XXX" you can continue to create a new version
I guess that this answers your query

Open the same document in change mode and go to document tab, u get option of creating new version. One more way to create version is to go to CV01n transaction and put the DIR number for which u want to create version and press enter system will ask u to create for new version.
