Hi all,
I get a java.lang.NullPointerException when I try to view the communication channel monitoring at RWB.
I have the right Java JRE version and everything else works fine.
It also gives me an exception ID, how can I use it? Where is the log held for this error and how can I view it?
Thanks,
Gökhan
Hi,
Is the stack trace available for this exception ? This could help locating the source of your error ...

Interestingly, I created a new communication channel and activated it. It was the first that I created in my PI system. The exception is now gone, I can see it in monitoring.
Here is the stack trace for the error:

Hi,
I would really appreciate it if someone could guide me for viewing my stack trace and logs.
Where are they? How can I see them?
If I get a chance to look for my error id any maybe category, I will be able to solve the issue.
Thanks.

Usually, the stack trace appears below the exception like :

Reason: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.MessagingException: Cannot assign a blank-padded string to host variable 1.: com.sap.sql.log.OpenSQLException: Cannot assign a blank-padded string to host variable 1.
