What could be a SCM Flow in an organization?

Hi,

The definition of a supply chain can vary depending on the nature of business. A high level definition woul be:

Managing the flow of products, services, and associated information across the whole business system to maximize value to the end consumer.

The objectives of any SCM flow would be:

Reduce total supply chain costs through effective marketing, production, and distribution strategies

Ensure responsiveness to consumer demand/changes/flexibility

Minimize the gap in time between the production of an item and its sale to the final customer to the practical minimum

Ensure competitive advantage in the introduction of new products and services
